His Excellency Ambassador Chola Milambo, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations, on Tuesday, January 2, 2025 visited the Permanent Mission of the United States of America to the United Nations to convey a message of condolences to the people of the United States of America on the death of former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29, 2024.
Ambassador Milambo signed the book of condolences, expressing Zambia’s deep sympathies to the American people on the loss of their former President. In his message, the Ambassador highlighted President Carter’s enduring legacy in promoting democratic societies and freedom globally through his work with the Carter Foundation.
“I wish to convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the people of the United States of America on the loss of the 39th President of the United States, H.E. President Jimmy Carter,” wrote Ambassador Milambo. “We recognise the great work that he did around the world to promote democratic societies and freedom, including through the Carter Foundation. May his legacy live on.”
