On 1st August 2024, Mrs. Mwila M. Daka, Chargé D’Affaires at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations, as one of the Vice-Presidents of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly presided over a debate entitled, “Establishment of the Youth Office”.
The Member States held a debate on the report of the UN Secretary General on the establishment of the Youth Office. The Secretary General, in the report, highlighted the need for the Office to build robust foundations to continue advancing and mainstreaming youth affairs in the UN system and strengthening meaningful youth engagement at all levels.
